'Vagabond Songs' is the third studio album from Canadian born singer-songwriter, Mike Alviano. On this outing, Alviano has fused his troubadour road worn ways, with more than fifteen years of performing and writing music, creating a blend of soulful songs filled with wanderlust, doubt, hope, redemption and grace.
Aside from his road-seasoned voice and gutsy performances, what makes Alviano unique is his willingness to lay bare his life in his songs. The confessional lyrics found on 'Vagabond Songs' recount a two-year journey taking Alviano from the back roads of small-town Canada, to the hash houses of Amsterdam.
'Vagabond Songs' was recorded in secret places and spaces during the Canadian winter of 2006, and features a distinguished cast of players from among his friends in and around his 'sometimes hometown' of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, including Shannon Lyon, Chris Giesbrecht and Jason Schneider.
